About Tracy Baranowski
Tracy Baranowski
Let me begin with telling you how much I detest ironing. The heat, standing in one location for more than a brief amount of time, the mindlessness of the activity itself all sends waves of nausea when I think of ironing. I would assume my deep-rooted dislike for ironing began when I was 13 years old. My mother had walked in on me just after I was attempting to do a quick pass over on a shirt I intended on wearing to school that day.
“Why are you putting the iron away?” “I’m done. I just had to do the shirt for school.” “Did you do the sleeves?” “No!” “What about the collar and the button area?” “No! Mom, it’s fine! It’s good enough!” “Good enough? Good enough for who? In this family, if you are going to do something you do it with 100% or don’t bother showing up”. “Mom, come on…it’s just a shirt!” “I hope I never hear ‘good enough’ from you again”
Sure, it was just a shirt but that two-minute interaction would truly shape the way I approach life from that moment on. The conviction that “good enough” is NEVER enough is largely present in both my personal and professional life. To this day I firmly believe in always giving 100%, showing up completely, and demanding the best and most out of every opportunity. I also believe it is more than alright to say “no” and to know your own limits. However, if you make that commitment to yourself or someone else than you better show up with your “A” game.
Professionally, this approach has netted me very positive results. During my career in software sales I was routinely the top performing sales agent. Drawing upon my software sales experience, I have found the jump into real estate to be almost natural. Home buyers and sellers are looking for driven individuals that can handle any situation thrown at them in a professional and ultimately successful manner. In an ever changing market, being able to think outside of the box has allowed me get the results my clients are seeking.
So, while I remain indigent to ironing, one incredible life lesson was taught that nondescript morning. Always give your best. So, this is me. Good, bad, or indifferent this is the individual I have become. If you find yourself looking for someone that is willing to give you 100% all of the time then you need not look any further. I look forward to earning your business…just as long as it doesn’t involve ironing!
